SECRET are reuniting for a comeback after 12 years, will feature Hyosung, Hana, and mystery new member

The pandering to second-generation fans thankfully continues unabated, as SECRET have made a surprise return. Speculation started when the group opened up new Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube accounts, but now 17 years after debut, 12 years since their last comeback, and about eight years since their unofficial hiatus/disbandment following TS Entertainment being TS Entertainment, they are confirmed to be coming back under RBW.

They kicked off their YouTube account with Hyosung and Hana going to their old salon they used to attend with SECRET, reuniting with their hairstylist and makeup artist, and then transforming into their “Shy Boy” look from 2011.

As you’ll notice, there’s only two of the four original members. Nobody expects Sunhwa to return at this point, but it seems that Jieun also won’t be around due to not being active in music and following her marriage. Curiously though, they’re supposedly adding a third member to this comeback, “Han Sunhwa, who left the group in 2016, is currently focusing entirely on her acting career. Meanwhile, Song Jieun is also not actively pursuing music activities at this time. As a result, Jeon Hyosung and Jung Hana will lead the group’s new chapter alongside a new member.“

Speculation? I … don’t know what is hapenning with that.

Regardless, they’ve already provided me with ample entertainment, as Koreaboo rushed out an article and instead of linking to SECRET’s “Madonna”, they linked to Madonna’s “Secret”.
