Remember back in September 2024 when the WATERBOMB Festival was supposed to make its American debut in Los Angeles, started off disasterously and was temporarily bullied into competency before ultimately cancelling the whole venture? Well, back in March of this year it was announced the debut was instead moved to Las Vegas and would debut in late-September of this year.
After radio silence for like four months, it was amusingly revealed that they are pushing the event back another 9-10 months into June of next year.
Lineup concerns or something. Oh man, lol.
Alright, so it makes sense to cool off in the desert, and it’s high-90s in September there but that’s maybe workable. However, the combination of doing this in a water-starved area and in June might actually be disastrous. Temps regularly are over 105, and like this week the highs are over 110 degrees. I’ve felt it myself and it is just an affront to god, spraying water at each other or not.
On the plus side, chances are we never have to find out if this is a very bad idea or not, cause I’m skeptical it will ever happen.
Asian Junkie Asian pop. Without discretion.
