Zion.T and TWICE‘s Chaeyoung were reported to have broken up after two years of dating, according to an exclusive from JTBC. JTBC cited the ending of their relationship as being due to both of them having busy schedules, leading them to naturally drift apart. Notably, statements from both artists said they were unable to confirm the report, but JTBC stuck with their story.
Well, a couple hours later representatives from both artists came back and refuted the report in a joint statement. They even hinted at taking legal action against false reports.
“We would like to share the official positions of both sides regarding the breakup reports about Zion.T and Chaeyoung published today.
1. The breakup reports are clearly false.
After confirming directly with the artists themselves, the two are still on good terms and continuing their relationship happily.
2. Notice of firm legal action against the spread of false information
Both companies will continue to monitor closely to ensure that the artists’ reputations are not harmed by baseless speculative reporting, the spread of false information, or malicious posts. We wish to make clear that we will take strong legal action against sensationalist reporting and the distribution of unverified information.”
I dunno what JTBC is doing at this point, but I guess they must be getting desperate or something as they head towards disaster.
