Dreamcatcher set for Japanese debut in 2018, time to get them anime tie-ins

Dreamcatcher‘s official Twitter for Japan announced yesterday that they would be making their debut sometime in 2018.

The reaction to this seems surprisingly mixed from fans, but it makes complete sense to me. Trying to expand their fanbase further to a music market that is more open to their sound makes complete sense, especially if they land a quality company that’s able to get them a solid tie-in or two.

The main worry seems to be about losing the momentum they’ve created, but it’s not like this requires them to stay in Japan for an extended period. And look, if I’m being quite honest, the problem to begin with is even that momentum has yet to allow them to make any money.

Most importantly, this will undoubtedly make Siyeon and Yoohyeon happy, because they are weebs.
