Police senior superintendent confirms ties to Yoo In Suk (ex-Yuri Holdings), denies corruption allegations stemming from group chat

The senior superintendent who has been linked to Seungri, Jung Joon Young, and others through their group chat with former Yuri Holdings CEO Yoo In Suk has admitted to being connected to him but claims that he didn’t do any favors.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency team investigating the allegations surrounding a chatroom involving Seungri, Jung Joon Young, Choi Jong Hoon, and other individuals, has confirmed that senior superintendent officer “A,” who is suspected of misusing his position to help cover up criminal activity, is an acquaintance of Yoo In Suk, the now former CEO of Yuri Holdings who was also in the group chatroom. “A” made the admission during his questioning on March 15. On March 16, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stated, “The person in question has admitted to being acquaintances with Mr. Yoo, who was the CEO of Yuri Holdings. He admitted that they have gone golfing and eaten meals together.” They added that “A” then denied the allegations that he misused his position to help Mr. Yoo and other individuals avoid investigations or further scrutiny.

Honestly, does anybody actually believe that?

It was revealed earlier that the senior superintendent had been removed from his position and was under investigation, and his history charts back to the Gangnam police, which is currently under suspicion of taking bribes.

“A” is said to have worked at the Gangnam Police Station in 2015 as the chief of the public security division. He was then promoted to a senior superintendent position in 2016 and in the following year, worked in the Blue House as well.

At this point his position is basically that the chat may have said that he did favors for them, but either they were exaggerating things or that can’t be proven as having actually taken place.
