Goo Hye Sun remakes her 2014 song “Must I Die” with new lyrics related to Ahn Jae Hyun

Goo Hye Sun alluded to having retired from the industry less than a month ago, and though she was hospitalized after a polyp removal for weeks (which was a thing in itself), she apparently found time to remake a 2014 song of hers called “Must I Die” that doesn’t explicitly mention Ahn Jae Hyun but realistically is definitely about her relationship with Ahn Jae Hyun. (They have both filed divorce lawsuit against each other, by the way.)

Where is my heart? Where are you?
Nothing lasts forever
I have lost my feelings
And you forever lost me
I don’t have time to look back at the loneliness
Every day in your dreams
On the night you’re sleeping when you’re drunk
Is there a tomorrow where you’re better than yesterday?
Hope turned into despair, and memories are now like a sin.

Your breathing that reaches my ears
A farewell I could not refrain from
Why should I live?
The songs that you have been singing
When my heart is crying
Should I die?
Is my heart here? Are you here?
Nothing lasts forever.
Is my heart here? Are you here?
Nothing lasts forever.
I have lost my feelings, and you forever lost me
Your breathing that reaches my ears
A farewell I could not refrain from
Why should I live?
The songs that you have been singing
When my heart is crying
Should I die?
Your breathing that reaches my ears
A farewell I could not refrain from
Why should I live?
The songs that you have been singing
When my heart is crying
Should I die?
Is my heart here? Are you here?
Nothing lasts forever.
Is my heart here? Are you here?
Nothing lasts forever.

I can’t hold back from saying goodbye
I’ll never be there again.
Just only to you,
I’m gone.

Maybe in the end Ahn Jae Hyun will be proven to have cheated on her, but regardless, my god I cannot encourage Goo Hye Sun enough to log off. Nobody reasonable is being won over by all this shit.
