Jessi cleared by police of involvement in fan assault controversy

Catching up on news, Jessi was recently cleared by police of involvement in a controversy where a fan of hers was assaulted by an alleged acquaintance (and past mess being brought back up). Actually, I was somewhat confused by what exactly she was being investigated for by police, but apparently it was for intimidation and aiding/abetting the suspect in the case.

After the investigation, however, the police found no evidence that Jessi was involved in the assault, issued threats or helped the suspect escape, leading to a decision not to proceed with charges.

Yeah, okay, I was wondering what exactly she was being investigated for, and it does make sense to make sure she wasn’t involved in a coverup or something like that (police lineup was ridiculous, though). Regardless, her involvement with that mess seems more about association than anything and she should be clear from punishment now.

Speaking of the others involved, the producer Koala is facing charges of assault for issuing threats and the assailant himself (allegedly Taiwanese) has supposedly left the country, so I’m not sure how that’ll work.
