EVERGLOW will leave YUEHUA Entertainment in June, Sihyeon says they’re not disbanding

Adding to the rash of girl groups leaving their companies of late but saying they’ll stay together, EVERGLOW will be leaving YUEHUA Entertainment, according to the company in a statement.

After careful discussion with EVERGLOW, we have decided to go our separate ways while wishing the best for each other’s futures.
As a result, EVERGLOW’s exclusive contracts will end as of June 2025.

The group debuted in 2019, and while they looked headed in this direction of late, it’s a bit before the usual seven-year mark. EVERGLOW seemed to peak in terms of sales in 2021, at which point they promptly didn’t have a comeback for like 18 months. Not sure what went on there, but it certainly didn’t help their momentum.

They also mostly had girl crush kind of releases, but they also dropped the fucking synth-pop banger known as “LA DI DA” out of nowhere and then kinda went back to business as usual. A bit odd, seemingly a trend with how YUEHUA handled them.

In terms of the group’s future, Sihyeon took to TikTok Live and reassured fans that they were staying together and just left the company like all the fans wanted.

Well that was candid at least.

Also a bit expected since Yiren recently revealed the group has yet to be paid by the company. No love lost there, I assume.

As I’ve said over and over again when these plans to continue are said, you have to see it to believe it, but recent trends do provide more hope than in the past.
