The story about I-DLE‘s Minnie clarifying rumors that she grew up rich blew up a few days ago but is actually over a year old. Whatever though, I’m just seeing it now, and I’m covering it because it reminded me of a meme and also just amazes me how these people truly live in different worlds.
Anyway, the Romantic Foreign Workers channel did a segment on misunderstandings about Minnie, and she used it to clarify why she’s not rich.

Minnie: I’m not rich. I mean, going around saying ‘I am rich’ is weird. There are so many people out there who are incredibly rich, so how could I call myself rich?

Minnie: My mom runs it now. My grandparents used to run it, but they recently passed it down to my mom.
