Gaeun (ex-MADEIN) filed for contract termination from 143 back in March, but no updates since on that nor the sexual harassment investigation

It’s been many months since there’s been any update on the Gaeun/MADEIN/143 Entertainment situation, and it’s notably been about 15 months since Gaeun filed a lawsuit against former company CEO Lee Yong Hak for sexual harassment.

Recently though, it’s been brought to my attention that all this time Gaeun has apparently been contractually tied to 143, and the Hanbit Media Labor Human Rights Center revealed back in May that she filed a lawsuit to terminate her contract with 143 back in March of this year so that she can move forward with her life.

Unfortunately, aside from the news of that contract lawsuit, the update isn’t necessarily a positive one as the reason the Center posted was to call for action and/or progress in the investigation and lawsuit.

In the months since then I haven’t been able to find an update on either case, and while I understand that these things take time, the apparent ease of which something so serious can get buried in wave after wave of news — especially if those involved aren’t high-profile and authorities aren’t under pressure to investigate and update the media — is certainly a depressing reality check.
