Bet that’s not a headline you expected to read.
But yes, KARD member BM has been added to the cast for the second season of Netflix‘s Beef, the acclaimed anthology series from Lee Sung Jin. Not much is known yet about the characters, but BM is reportedly playing a former tennis pro.
Obviously, he’s not the biggest name in the cast — Youn Yuh Jung, Song Kang Ho, Seoyeon Jang, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton, Cailee Spaeny, William Fichtner, and Mikaela Hoover are also confirmed — but: 1) I didn’t know he was getting into acting and 2) it was a surprise to see him in such a high-profile show right off the bat in his debut.
The show, of course, will focus on a beef.
The new installment centers on a young couple (Spaeny, Melton) who witness an alarming fight between their boss (Isaac) and his wife (Mulligan), triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner (Youn).
Looking forward to checking it out, but regardless of how it is, glad to see BM succeeding.
