BLACKPINK’s Jisoo & family allegedly cut ties with brother following May 2025 incident, wife doesn’t think Jisoo even knew they were married

Following the Kim Jung Hoon (brother of BLACKPINK member Jisoo) being accused of multiple crimes, the resulting backlash on her led to an issuing of a statement that essentially was her disavowing connections to him. Now, it’s being reported that she did this back in May 2025 after he was first accused of assault.

It’s said that after the post appeared on BLIND back then, the whole family lost trust in the brother and cut off contact with him. Up until then, he had helped Jisoo with her business, but not after that.

“Didn’t the hidden camera (molka) allegations involving her brother surface on Blind in May 2025? After that incident, he completely lost the trust of Jisoo and her family, and they essentially cut him off from that point on.”

At the time, Kim had reportedly been assisting Jisoo with business related matters. However, after the allegations surfaced, he allegedly changed his phone number without notice and withdrew from direct contact, communicating only through voice calls. Lee suggested this made it unlikely that Jisoo was aware of his later legal issues.
Speculation also emerged regarding Kim Jung Hoon’s credit in the drama ‘Boyfriend on Demand,’ which premiered in March. Lee clarified that filming took place between October 2024 and May 2025, before the family severed ties, and that his name appeared based on production documentation from that period.
Lee further alleged that when Jisoo noticed her brother’s credit on March 6, she immediately requested its removal. Although the correction reportedly cost over 10 million KRW (approximately 7,000 USD), she personally paid the expense to have it deleted.

Keep in mind that the report is from Lee Jin Ho, which doesn’t mean it’s necessarily false, but does mean you should read this as less like the immutable truth and more like this is an extension of Jisoo’s side of things.

It is notable, though, that Kim Jung Hoon’s wife did speak in an interview.

Lee Jun Ho then spoke about what she wanted from everything, including an apology and compensation. Jisoo was then directly mentioned as it was revealed that she didn’t know he was related to the idol
“Later I found out that thing broke in May. Until then, I didn’t know. I didn’t know he was Jisoo’s brother.”
This then led to rumors about Jisoo knowing about her brother’s actions against his first wife. Yet, Lee Jun Ho pointed out that it seemed less likely due to Jisoo’s lack of knowledge about her brother, and the sister-in-law confirmed that the idol didn’t even know he had gotten married to her, adding, “She didn’t know we were married. Because even though we registered it, we didn’t have a wedding ceremony.”

At the time, it was really odd to me that the second wife said she had no idea he was related to Jisoo, but given that they met in April of last year, dated in June, and got married in July, it makes more sense.

The very first time was in late April, and we started dating on June 9th. Yes. He kept pestering me.For a week, he begged me to go register the marriage. He begged so much. I wondered why he was so obsessed.

That does track if he was cut off from the family and there were no talks of family or anything.

It also, more importantly, continues to show a pattern of him being controlling. Look, I’m all for holding idols accountable if something damning comes out or something like she’s Nicki Minaj sticking by her husband or whatever, but so far there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot concrete that has emerged to support focusing on Jisoo instead of her brother being a scumbag. I’d rather just hope all of his victims get justice.
