VVS (hoe) are at least (unintentionally) very funny

I apologize in advance for this take, but VVS (hoe) has to be one of the unintentionally funniest idol groups to debut in the fifth generation. Yes, I understand the serious critiques of their appropriation, but it’s so uncomfortably over the top that it’s crossed over into absurdist.

Take their latest effort, “$tay The Night” — the “S” being a dollar sign is just perfect — where the group of 23-year-olds to 17-year-olds in their first year rap about topics ranging from how obscenely wealthy they are, allude to importing and distributing drugs, mention the possibility of letting loose with their gun that has 30-cap mags, and name-checking Tyronn Lue. All this while also saying, “I am not an actor, this is not a script.”

And that’s just one of their songs! Amazing stuff.

You’re telling me this is not even a little funny? Come on.

It’s like when I found that clip of the hip-hop artist doing a family prayer.

Of course, that’s actually parody*, but you can see what I mean by VVS being one step away from being something you might see on God Of Music 3. And so in that sense I’m almost obligated have to give their comebacks at least one listen, there’s gold in almost every one of them.

*Was most of this an excuse to post that gold mine because I went through the effort of finding the source material? Yes.
