Following the recent report on Tzuyu leaving JYP Entertainment, the floodgates have opened regarding reporting, rumors, and speculation on the status of the other TWICE members in their negotiations with the company. Notably, reports have come out about Jihyo, Chaeyoung, and Jeongyeon, while fans are dooming about Jeongyeon and Sana after messages from them.

The most emphatic reporting came via a JoyNews24 report that Jihyo expected to leave JYPE to form a one-person agency.
“She has recently been meeting with various officials within the entertainment industry and is widely expected to establish her one-person agency and pursue her solo activities.
She will, as expected, remain with TWICE and participate in the group activities, choosing to separate her group activities with her solo activities.“
Meanwhile, Chaeyoung has been reported to be meeting with other entertainment agencies regarding her solo activities to explore her options, though like the others it’s said she will be remaining in TWICE.
“According to multiple industry insiders on July 14, Chaeyoung recently held meetings with other agencies regarding her solo activities. Details regarding a potential contract or specific negotiations have not been disclosed.
The reports have sparked speculation that Chaeyoung may be looking to expand her individual career while continuing activities as a member of TWICE. Known for her distinct artistic style, songwriting, rap, and interest in fashion and visual arts, Chaeyoung has long established a unique identity within the group.
Because of this, many believe she may be seeking greater freedom over her personal projects. Rather than leaving JYP entirely, industry insiders say one option being discussed is splitting her contracts, keeping TWICE’s group activities under JYP while signing with another agency for solo promotions.“
Another member reportedly shopping around is Jeongyeon, and she was actually the first to be mentioned doing this back at the end of last month, as there was a meeting confirmed by Varo Entertainment (agency of her actress sister, Gong Seung Yeon).
The company commented, “It is true that we recently had a meeting with TWICE’s Jeongyeon. Nothing has been finalized regarding any contract.”
Meanwhile, less concrete but understandable speculation has arose due to Jeongyeon and Sana recently leaving comments for fans on social media that gave the impression their time with the company might be ending.
As far as JYPE’s stance goes, they’ve continued to just spam the same message in response, “TWICE is currently in the contract renewal discussion period. Both the company and the members are respectfully and carefully discussing the matter. We will provide information as soon as a decision is made.”

While it seems TWICE will be staying together as a group, at least officially, it does feel inevitable at this point that real change will be coming in the future and soon.
