YENA has basically been a pandering machine for otaku and K-pop nostalgia for a while now as a soloist, and thank god for it. Somebody had to fucking do it.
Anyway, during a recent WATERBOMB appearance in Busan, she took a somewhat opposite route from most, wearing a full-body cosplay suit of D.va from Overwatch while performing a seven-song medley of “Catch Catch“, “Nemo Nemo“, “Good Morning“, “364“, “Lxxk 2 U“, “SMILEY“, and “WithOrWithOut“.
In particular, clips of her performing her viral hit “Catch Catch” also garnered millions of views on social media.

Her socials obviously leaned all the way in, as they tend to do, which is why she comes off as fun and entertaining and frequently goes viral.
Another thing happening is people are praising her for not going the heavy exposure route, though I think that does sorta showcase that people don’t really care about sexualization per se, just whatever happens to make them uncomfortable (or too honest, really) cause getting sprayed with water while in a skin-tight D.Va bodysuit cosplay is obviously gonna be just as hot as anything else.
God bless.
