SME reportedly launching supergroup consisting of EXO, SHINee, NCT members, also don’t deny reports

SM Entertainment, perhaps motivated by stock prices falling due to their alleged embezzlement mess, is reportedly launching a collab super boy group of sorts with members of EXO, SHINee, and NCT all participating.

On August 2, industry representatives reported that SHINee’s Taemin, EXO’s Kai and Baekhyun, and NCT’s Taeyong and Mark along with Lucas and Ten, who are also part of WayV, will be debuting as a new boy group sometime within 2019.

Perhaps tellingly, when asked for comment, SME didn’t deny it.

SM Entertainment commented, “An official announcement will be made on August 8.”

That seems essentially like a confirmation.

Honestly, this is like out of the fan’s fever dream or something, so it should be interesting to see what the group’s concept and sound will be, how they will work together, and — perhaps most importantly — whether fandom mess is incoming.
