You know something has captured my interest when I almost can’t update fast enough and it becomes a recurring topic on the site, but Chanhyuk of AKMU is quickly turning Asian Junkie into Chanhyuk Junkie with his antics, and I’m happy to report that he has continued them unabated recently.
On Music Core he followed his M! Countdown performance of singing with his back turned by adding a mirror so the audience/cameras could see his face.
Then on Inkigayo he did something I don’t think I’ve really ever seen, and got his hair cut during the performance while singing.
Apparently he did more than his hair later, for better or worse.
In all seriousness, I think this probably ties into his death and rebirth theme, with the hair being representative of that. But … it’s also very funny.
On K-909, he performed “Eyewitness Account” for the first time by just standing there and drinking red wine while doing it.
He also talked to BoA and actually did get interviewed this time, explaining a bit of what he’s doing.
Man, this is how you get people to watch every one of those music show performances during a cycle.
