Court rules contracts of ARTMS’s Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry with Blockberry are nullified

It’s been a while since we got news on the LOONA and Blockberry Creative contract stuff, probably because it’s been widely assumed Blockberry would lose. Well, after Chuu won her contract nullification case and then had it confirmed on appeal in March, now members Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry have reportedly all won their lawsuits as well.

The Seoul Northern District Court’s 11th Civil Division ruled in favor of LOONA members Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry in their case against Blockberry Creative regarding the non-existence of their exclusive contracts valued at 200 million won.

It’s now been almost a year and a half since the quartet won their injunction lawsuits against Blockberry, which shows why getting that result was so important for them as the wheels of justice can turn slowly at times.

Since Blockberry are currently appealing Chuu’s case to the Supreme Court, it seems safe to assume they’ll also appeal this case, and there are still also the contract nullification results for the cases of Haseul, Yeojin, Yves, Go Won, Hyeju, and then Vivi and Hyunjin. Thus, assuming Blockberry continue to appeal everything, there’s still a long way to go before this is actually over, and they can potentially (hopefully) truly rack up an extensive list of losses if the trend holds.
