ILLIT‘s Wonhee recently learned a valuable lesson about the evils of Labubu, telling fans that she recently got scammed while purchasing what she thoughts were mystery Labubu boxes from Pop Mart. Instead, she got like Ladoodoo dolls delivered to her.
She posted deep in grief, “I got scammed… This really isn’t it. I’m so dumbfounded. I actually saw the box and purchased it in person… The box looked real.” But the funniest thing was her picture attached, as it’s the most Much To Think About picture I’ve seen in a long time.
So I owe a thank you to Wonhee just for that laugh and image alone, and she’s taken it in stride at least.
Now normally, I’m not for victim blaming (well, maybe a bit for scams, as a treat), but given that this is Labubu, we have to make an exception. As a personal victim of having to buy Labubu (FUCKING SPECIFIC ONES), since Asian-American women in particular cannot seem to live without them, I’m not sure any punishment is too severe, really.
