Lexie leaves another HYBE & Geffen production, and SAINT SATINE is down to 3 before they even debut

While I don’t often talk about the American groups from “K-pop”, I do enjoy observing trends, and news that Lexie was leaving HYBE and Geffen Records girl group SAINT SATINE before they even debuted certainly counts as that.

For those unfamiliar, SAINT SATINE was a four-member girl group that included three former participants in The Debut: Dream Academy in Lexie, Emily, and Samara, with the fourth member Sakura being picked via World Scout: The Final Piece. That mentioned last member being a minor and still ending up being picked proved controversial among fans and potentially members.

While that may have been a factor, notably Lexie withdrew from the show that eventually formed KATSEYE on her own, claiming she wanted to do music production instead, so after she was brought back the assumption was basically that SAINT SATINE was a vehicle created by HYBE and Geffen for her. Well now that makes it interesting to hear her say they weren’t on the same page or whatever.

Admittedly, I’m not as tapped in on these things, but I do know a trend of mess when I see it.
