GOT7’s Yugyeom will reportedly leave JYPE & sign with Jay Park’s AOMG, which makes things spicy

GOT7 member Yugyeom will reportedly leave JYP Entertainment when his contract expires at the end of the month and will sign with AOMG, who he decided on after talking with various companies.

In their response, JYPE gave a statement that basically validated the report.

JYP Entertainment said in a statement to Newsen, “We are still discussing various possibilities regarding GOT7’s contracts, and we will inform you when we are ready.”

Yeah, that’s a pretty typical company response when they know the artist is gone but they can’t say or don’t want to say anything cause they’re still under contract.

Of course, what makes Yugyeom’s situation even funnier is AOMG is founded by Jay Park, who acrimoniously left 2PM what seems like a lifetime ago. As recently as five years ago, he was calling out JYP for blocking him, and three years ago he was talking about trainees under the company being hit. So that’s a thing.

Yugyeom is also the second member to potentially be leaving, as Jinyoung had previously been rumored to join BH Entertainment. GOT7’s contract expires this month, which puts the future of the group in doubt, especially if members exit the company.
