Well, here’s a surprise, Sesame Street recently collabed with Hinatazaka46 on THE FIRST TAKE. The two covered the Sakamoto Kyu classic “Sukiyaki” (“Ue Wo Muite Aruko“), with Elmo, Julia, and Cookie Monster on one side and Kato Shiho, Kamimura Hinano, and Takahashi Mikuni on the other. As the YouTube channel implies, it was done in one take.
Mainly though, I needed everybody to hear the sweet sweet sounds of Japanese Cookie Monster belting. Absolutely stunning vocal showing.
