Perhaps the most important news of the year is that After School’s Kahi was randomly (?) at USC recently and danced with students for some reason to “Diva” and “Bang”.

Do I really care why? No, but glad to see her still running shit like the military.

Anyway, onto the other news items.

Yutori had previously bought a 51% stake in Heart Relation Inc. back in 2024, so this is for the final 49%. Of that remaining 49%, 45.5% of it was Kojiharu‘s, and she’ll make off with ~18.2 billion yen (~$115 million) in the deal. And that is how you cash on being a celeb, goodness.

Park Bom’s letter was relevant since last time she wrote one she accused Sandara Park of using drugs, but this time around she basically hypes up 2NE1 and says she wishes people would forget about that. Well … I mean that’s why you ideally think about it before doing it.

ABD is going to be run by Pledis execs and will be for girl groups, sorta reads like HYBE admitting that they and/or Pledis are cursed and are trying to figure out how to not have a mess for once. I guess the business reason is to create more branding stuff, but it’s funnier to imagine they’re just going for fresh starts until it works.

Mimiirose left their original company (Yes Im Entertainment) after only around a year, added two members while at their new company (Pocket7 Entertainment), and while they hadn’t technically disbanded, they also last had a comeback in August 2024. They unfortunately never really had a shot with all that going on.

CIX disbanding is one thing, but to lose a member to retirement and another to the military must not be pleasant.

If you recognize Ohira Shosei, that’s because he was the one who cheated on his girlfriend with ME:I’s SHIZUKU (who already left her group).

Those injuries are a tough and lifelong price to pay, but at least THE BOYZ and ITZY are successful so the sacrifice is worth it to some degree.
