B.I’s drug case saga has finally come to a conclusion. A couple weeks ago, B.I. admitted to all charges in court and prosecution requested a three-year sentence for him, but thankfully that was never going to happen and he ended up sentenced to four years of probation with three years in prison if he violates that, 80 hours of community service, 40 hours of drug treatment program, and a ~1,200 fine.
The court sentenced B.I to three years in prison suspended for four years of probation along with 80 hours of community service, 40 hours of a drug treatment course, and an additional fine of 1.5 million won (approximately $1,284). The court stated, “[What he did] cannot be regarded as a crime that occurred due to simple curiosity, and celebrity drug usage has a great impact on society by weakening adolescents’ awareness of drugs.”
Broken record, but given the laws on the books that seems relatively fine. Going to prison for drugs would be ridiculous, but those were the laws and he definitely broke them so punishment was inevitable.. Morally I don’t care at all, and it’s really only relevant to me whether he knew about the YG coverup and to what extent but we will likely only be able to assume on that front.
