Man, there’s been a lot of news going on, especially in terms of agency movement and relationship stuff, but also
Most importantly, though, Crayon Pop’s ChoA is doing great with her twins after the ordeal of her pregnancy, and she’s being helped (?) out by her own twin Way.
Speaking of previous site faves, EXID’s Hyerin … is opening up a restaurant. Eat her tacos.

- 6 FANTASY BOYS members won their contract injunction appeal case against PocketDol Studio
- VVUP’s agency EgoENT faces multiple lawsuits over 1 billion KRW (660,000 USD) in unpaid staff fees
- Actor Ji Chang Wook is latest celeb to get caught up in tax issues
- IU and other celebrities are being targeted by right-wingers
PocketDol has now appealed to the Supreme Court as the original ruling has been affirmed, of course. For EgoENT, it’s producers, choreographers, and stylists filing lawsuits against the company and CEO for lack of payment.
Ji Chang Wook basically just had to pay what the tax authority said he owed, so no biggie there, but the image management is a different story with all the celebs in trouble for this nowadays.
In terms of IU, I’ve said this before, but international netizens still don’t seem to get a lot of the controversy around IU nowadays is turned up to 100 because she has politically-motivated haters, who are very different from the celeb-hating kids wasting time on the Internet. Not saying her drama shouldn’t have been accurate or whatever the fuck, but people keep insinuating there’s something more to the backlash when it’s just them ironically endorsing their right-wingers to get jabs in at a celeb. Like they are literally parroting talking points from that Illuminati post from last year, just think a bit.
Whenever "progressive" overseas K-pop stans buy into some IU mess in Korea, I always kinda laugh because most of the time nowadays it's politically motivated and they're parroting right-wing psychos, lol. https://t.co/ZCw85hM4ph

These are the people they end up agreeing with and they have all kind of progressive indicators in their bio, lmfao. It's fucking great, ngl. pic.twitter.com/oujYGa6tYW

I cannot stress how blackpilled I’ve become on K-pop fans and their progressive sheen. None of them actually care about anything more than celeb drama and clout, so I find it hard to take them seriously when there’s outrage at this point — at least in the sense that it’s genuine.
Also, people online love to act like it’s only the men in South Korea who are conservative, but … uh, young women are also leaning more in that direction now if exit polls are anything to go by. Lovelyz‘s Jin and Berry Good‘s Johyun are the most prominent recent examples, but your idols from certain historically conservative parts of South Korea are every bit as likely to support stuff like this as some male idols from liberal parts of the country. Deal with that however you want, but if you suffer from cognitive dissonance about it, don’t shoot the messenger.
Not happy about this, per se, but at least maybe people on here will have to momentarily confront uncomfortable truths. https://t.co/kDyXT2NgWR pic.twitter.com/F88eatwuGn

——
- VIXX’s Leo has signed with SUBLIME
- NCT’s Ten has started his own label, illimnt
- Number_i have signed with Atlantic Records
- SECRET’s Hyosung joined MAJOR9
- Mark (ex-NCT) established his own label, Upper Room
- RAVN (ex-ONEUS) has left DSP Media
- Park Bom has left D-Nation Entertainment
- Sandara Park establishes ARADNAS label
- CIX’s Hyunsuk signs with Management Run
- AB6IX’s Jeon Woong has renewed with Brand New Music
Number_i, the three former King & Prince members, had also previously signed with WME in February, so something is brewing there.
I honestly thought RAVN had left the company years ago after the gaslighting controversy that saw him exit the group.
Mark’s company being religiously named drew a bunch of concern (trolling?) but unless he starts making cult music, whatever.

- LATENCY’s Hyunjin has left the group due to health reasons
- CLC’s Eunbin left Cube Entertainment
- CLC’s Eunbin retired from the entertainment industry
Hyunjin being done with LATENCY after two months is unfortunate. Part of me wonders if the stresses of being in a band was just too much or if there was something else.
Eunbin’s retirement and subsequent requests to basically erase her public persona were a bit surprising but understandable. She also personally addressed her retirement that would happen after the group’s activities concluded.

- Lee Da Hee & SE7EN are expecting their first child
- DAY6’s Dowoon has dating/marriage rumors and their fandom is melting down
- Seo In Young is remarrying to Choi Ji Hoon, the CEO of the content creation company NP
Lee Da Hee and SE7EN have been dating since 2015 and married since 2023, so you know, it is possible to date that long and go on.
Apink’s Bomi and Rado did also get married, and this is a great lore video.
catching up on the 100 chapters of kpop lore i missed😭 pic.twitter.com/IZEWab4LuF
